Florence B. Tekulve

Florence B. Tekulve, age 88 of Batesville, Indiana, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the St. Andrew's Health Campus in Batesville. She was born October 16, 1917 in Ripley County Indiana and is the daughter of Elizabeth (Nee: Drescher) and George Timke. She married Anthony H. "Butch" Tekulve on July 3, 1946 at the St. Louis Parsonage in Batesville and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1983.Florence was a homemaker and was a custodian for the Batesville State Bank, before retiring. She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, The Lutheran Church Women, Adams Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183 Ladies Auxiliary and the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 Ladies Auxiliary.Florence is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Butch and parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Hilda Bergman, Bertha Anderson and Cora Engel Ridenour and brother Edward Timke.Visitation is Thursday, September 14th, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, with a V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary service at 6 p.m. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 15th, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Batesville, with Rev. Thomas Weitzel and Rev. William Powlen officiating. The burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Batesville. The family requests memorials to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or to the Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
