Adele E. Fehrman's Obituary
Adele E. Fehrman, age 85 of Oldenburg, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at the St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born May 12, 1920 in Oldenburg, Indiana, she is the daughter of Elizabeth (Nee: Meer) and Bernard Struewing. She married Sylvester Kellerman on August 19, 1939. He was killed in Germany during World War II on April 7, 1945. She married William Fehrman May 10, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1986.She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its Ladies Society, Legion of Mary and the Golden Villagers. During her working years, she owned the Fehrman Liquor Store and Fehrman Apartments.She is survived by her daughters Charlotte (Albert) Heppner of Oldenburg, Peg Weber of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Becky (Rod) Gaskill of Dallas, Texas; sons John L. (Vicki) Kellerman of Batesville, Bob (Mareta) Fehrman of Greensburg, Dan (Pat) Fehrman of Batesville; sisters Martha Hoelker and Bernie Meyer, both of Oldenburg, 12 grandchildren, 20 great granchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husbands Sylvester and William, she is preceded in death by sisters Laurene, Norma Raver and her brother Clarence Struewing.Visitation is Thursday, January 26th, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 27th, at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg, with the Rev. Benno Heidlage, O.F.M., officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Margaret Mary Hospital or to Batesville E.M.S. 10.
