Adrian F. Meyer's Obituary
Adrian F. Meyer, age 79 of Batesville, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born April 8, 1929 in Batesville, he is the son of Amelia (Nee: Waechter) and Frank Meyer. Adrian was a truck driver for the Batesville Casket Company and was an Army veteran in the Korean War.He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3183 and was presently the Post Commander. He was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1461, Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and Holy Family Catholic Church.He is survived by his wife Linda S. (Nee: Schriner) Meyer of Batesville; sons John (Laura) Meyer of Milwaukie, Oregon, Joseph Meyer of Dayton, Ohio; daughters Jennifer (Chris) Kovach of Russells Point, Ohio, Christina (Todd) Bartholomew of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Alissia (Kyle) O’Connor of Brookville; grandchildren Alijah, Brishon and Aiden O’Connor; sister Edith Albers of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers Gilbert (Bernie) Meyer of Oldenburg, Indiana and Leon (Darlene) Meyer of Adams, Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jamie; brothers Donald and Clifford Meyer.Visitation is Friday, December 19th, from 4 – 8 p.m., at the funeral home in Batesville, with a rosary service at 4 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, December 20th, at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg, with Fr. David Kobak, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites conducted by the Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183 and by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271. Memorial donations may be made to the Gibault School for Girls and Boys.
