Aiden K. Mehlbauer's Obituary
Aiden K. Mehlbauer, age 4 of Metamora, Indiana, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. Born October 24, 2006 in Batesville, he is the son of Shavonne (Nee: Zins) and Gregory Mehlbauer. Aiden was all boy. He was active, inquisitive, cuddly and mischievous all rolled into one. He had a sweet, natural smile, but his parents said “whenever he came up and out of nowhere said I love you, it was time to look around and found out what he’d done.” He liked to play outside and loved going to grandpa’s farm to help feed the cows. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals as well as Sponge Pants Bob and Buzz and Woody from “Toy Story.” He had fun playing with daddy’s hang-ups (handcuffs) and was a good eater according to his parents. “Chicken on a stick” (the chicken leg) was among his favorites. In addition to his parents Greg and Shavonne, he is also survived by sister Rhian; twin brother Mason; maternal grandparents Candy and Rick Zins of Sunman; paternal grandparents Kenneth Mehlbauer of Morris, Mary Sue and Rick Koch of Batesville; paternal great grandparents Harold and Dolores Pulskamp of Oldenburg as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Visitation is Monday, February 21st, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 4 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 22nd, at St. Louis Church with Rev. Stephen Akange officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati or Batesville E.M.S. 10.
