Albert W. Heppner's Obituary
Albert W. Heppner, age 73 of Oldenburg, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Born August 15, 1934 in Batesville, he is the son of Loretta (Nee: Lampe) and August Heppner. He married Charlotte Kellerman May 12, 1962 at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg.Albert worked as a press operator at Batesville Casket Company for 40 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of Holy Family Church and also devoted much time to his favorite hobbies. He had a genuine passion for gardening and woodworking. During the growing season he enjoyed spending time outside in the garden and in less favorable weather he could be found working on projects in his workshop. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, sister Betty Ann Heppner of Batesville; brothers Jim of Oldenburg, Jerry of Batesville and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Martin and Rev. Sylvester Heppner.Visitation is Friday, March 14th, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15th, at Holy Family Church with Rev. David Kobak officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to Hospice of Margaret Mary Hospital or the Ripley County Foundation’s Jack Kellerman Community Improvement Fund.
