Alberta T. Doll's Obituary
Alberta T. Doll, age 80 of Morris, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at her home. Born January 24, 1935 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Margaret (Nee: Maune) and Julius Hoog. She married Floyd Doll November 25, 1954 at St. Louis Church in Batesville. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Anthony's Church, the St. Anthony's Ladies Sodality and the St. Leon American Legion Post #464 Ladies Auxiliary.
Bert was an excellent cook and baker who catered numerous weddings and parties. She raised a large garden each summer, canning the excess. She also enjoyed quilting, finishing her latest one just recently. No matter how hectic her schedule became, she never lost her passion for cooking, baking, gardening, canning and quilting. When it was time to relax, she and Floyd would make a trip to Branson, Missouri and did this several times each year. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her husband Floyd; daughters and son-in-laws Marcy and Tim Wurtz, Millie and Dan Shane, Janet Ward, Mary and Mark Huntington, Kathy and Dale Schuman, all of Batesville, sons and daughter-in-laws Nick and Sharon Doll, Greg and Colleen Doll, Tony and Nan Doll, all of Batesville, Jim Doll of Sunman, Indiana, Tom and Alisa Doll of Greenfield, Indiana; sister Bernice Lambert of Batesville; brother Joe Hoog of Greenfield, Indiana; daughter-in-law Theresa Doll; son-in-law Herb Hoff, both of Batesville; 30 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and numerous grand pets. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by daughter Janice Hoff; son Mike Doll and sister Cordelia Schebler.
Visitation is Monday, April 20th, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21st at St. Anthony's Church in Morris with Rev. Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to St. Anthony's Cemetery Fund or Gibault School.
