Marrying the oldest niece (Anita Fehlinger) of a male dominated family could have been intimidating, but Al was one of the first to welcome me into his band of brothers. Al was a gracious host for many events but his humility wouldn’t allow him to take any of the credit. This photo from our wedding in 1987 captures Al’s personality of someone who always liked to have a good time and loved being a part of the action even if he was an innocent bystander.
