I've just heard the news of Bernie's passing, my condolences to his family. I will always have a soft spot for Bernie, he was the very first person who took time with me as a young engineer, fresh out of college to teach me the details of defense systems and he was so kind in how he did it. He sat with me teaching be each step, correcting where needed and he always took my calls from the road when I was in a jam. I'm sad here in my office tonight hearing of this news, but I wouldn't be here without Bernie. Fair winds and following seas, sir. You will be remembered.
