Bernice M. Dierckman's Obituary
Bernice M. Dierckman, age 81 of Morris, Indiana, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana. Born May 11, 1924 in Franklin County Indiana, she is the daughter of Catherine (Nee: Niehoff) and Bernard Meyer. She married Carl Dierckman September 8, 1948 at St. Anne's Church in Hamburg, Indiana. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1990.Bernice was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony's Church in Morris. She was also a member of the St. Anne's Ladies Society, the Ripley Co. V.F.W. Post #3183 Ladies Auxiliary, the Batesville Red Hatters and served as bingo chairman for St. Anthony's.She is survived by daughters Jean Huber of West Harrison, Indiana, Dr. Judy Dierckman of Brookville, Indiana, Marlene Bruno of Chicago, Illinois, Helen Bolte of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ruth Mary Dierckman of Sarasota, Florida; sons Theodore of Sunman, Indiana, Anthony of Batesville, Mike of Batesville; sister Betty Lou Forthofer of Pompano Beach, Florida; brother Wilbur Meyer of Hamburg, Indiana, six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one great grandchild and six step great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by her son Henry.Visitation is Friday, March 17th, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A prayer service will be conducted by the Ripley Co. V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and will be followed by a rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18th, at St. Anthony's Church with Msgr. Bernard Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Morris Fire Department.
