Brian J. Dickman's Obituary
Brian J. Dickman, age 48 of Batesville, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Margaret Mary Hospital. Born May 13, 1960 in Batesville, he is the son of Irene (Nee: Hornbach) and Richard Dickman. Brian had many interests, but he was most proud of his three daughters. He truly enjoyed being with them and taking them camping. An avid IU fan, he was also a prankster who enjoyed a good joke and you would find him hunting during deer season. He was a team leader for Romweber’s Furniture, where he began working after graduation, until earlier this year. He was also a member of St. Louis Church.He is survived by his daughters Megan, Erin and Mallory Dickman, all of Batesville; parents Irene and Richard of Batesville; sister and brother-in-laws Karen and Dave Snuffer of Shelbyville, Indiana, Mara and Steve Kruthaupt of Batesville, Ellen and Jeff Paul of Oldenburg, Shelia and Tim Merkel of Batesville, Geralyn and Gary Litzinger of Oldenburg, Colleen and Greg Doll of Batesville, Carmen and Gary Belter of Batesville, Nancy and Gus Kinker of Greensburg, Ann and Tim Sweeney of Indianapolis; brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Mary Dickman of Greensburg and brother Daniel Dickman of Batesville and his significant other Rhonda Gunter. Brian was expecting the birth of grandson Hunter James Dickman, his first grandchild, later this year.Visitation is Sunday, June 29th, from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 1 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, June 30th, at St. Louis Church with Rev. David Kobak O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Dickman Girls trust fund.
