Bert I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Carl. He was fun to be around I know John really enjoyed coming to coonhunters for trap shooting and for sitting around and shooting the bull with all the guys. I have fond memories of the picnic and the other times I came with John. All the good memories keep me going since John passed almost 10 years ago. I’m sure Carl, Charlie and John are all up there talking about how good they were at shooting. My prayers are with you and your family

I always looked forward to having a beer and an awesome story told by Unc when I came home for a visit. This event normally occurred at Coonhunters at any given time of the day. I have already missed so many of his hilarious adventures and it saddens me to no end that I will never hear another from Unc. My heart goes out to Aunt Bert, Billie, Bernie and family, for you lost a great man. Sis

Bert,
I am terribly sorry to hear about the passing of Carl. After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. He was the best Uncle a kid could have growing up. He took me fishing, hunting, and taught me how to love and respect nature. He was the master of a great story and if you listened close enough there was a life lesson in the story. It saddens me to know I will never get to hear him call me "Keif" (his way of saying Keith) again and that my Unc will no longer get to tell me a story.

Bert, Bill & Erin, Bernie & Thomas love you guys! Unc was the best and will be missed.
