Cathy Sullivan
This is from Cathy Sullivan neighbor from Lake of the Woods, former co-worker at the YMCA, FRIEND.
I watched Cathy's decline and she kept saying she was trying to eat and of course, staying active. I was shocked to hear of her passing! Her obit recalled everything I knew about her and it was written so well. I had the utmost respect for her because she left Charleston, SC, a great house and super job, to help "mom" in her declining years. We were so blessed to have her at the YMCA! She was an excellent, diligent worker and believe me when I say "Friend to All". She made everyone feel comfortable. She was loved and respected by the staff, all co-workers, all the members of the Y and would do anything to "be a friend in need". She was so dependable. I went to several social functions where Cathy was present and people, to include me, flocked to her because she was so welcoming! She was always extending a helping hand in Greensburg Soup Kitchen where she assisted prepping/serving meals to those less fortunate. In good weather, I would walk to Cathy's and we would sit in her rocking chairs and chat for hours and she would stroll to my house and we would do the same. We shared Daily Mass at St. Louis Catholic Church. She would always sit praying the Rosary during Mass. I know she was Fr. Whittington's Right Arm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church as Sacristan, Lector, Wedding/Funeral set-up/tear down, and I know even more duties. I will miss her so much as will this entire community.
May she rest in the arms of Jesus and Mary. Love in Christ, Cathy
