I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was one of my favorite people and the Bookshelf one of my favorite places. She happily put up with my silly requests and was always happy to help me out. I will miss her.

I've know Chris since I was in my teens. I would go into her store and buys books all the time. This built into a friendship with a love of books. I am still an avid book reader. It is my favorite pass time and I know Chris knew this. She was always willing to help me find my next great book to read. She will be greatly missed!

I so enjoyed talking on "air" about books during Book Talk with the Bookshelf Ladies on WRBI for the 10 years I was there. She knew books and beyond, and was always so interesting and gracious. I also enjoyed talking to her off air and we shared many same views. She was compassionate and always sincere and wanting to help those in need. Chris was very on top of Batesville happenings. She was a wonderful community and business leader. She was one of Batesville's treasures. She will be greatly missed. Condolences to her beloved family.
