Clifford C. Ferkinhoff's Obituary
Clifford C. Ferkinhoff, age 71 of Batesville, Indiana, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at his residence. Born December 20, 1935 in Batesville, he is the son of Seraphine (Nee: Schulte) and Joseph Ferkinhoff.Cliff was a Korean War veteran and a member of St. Louis Church, Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and the Batesville Knights of Columbus Council # 1461. He owned and operated the Band Box Dry Cleaners in Batesville for 20 years, before retiring.Cliff is survived by his daughters Beverly Meyer and Brenda Lamping, both of Hamburg, Indiana; sisters Mary Kathryn Tekulve of Scottsdale, Arizona, Joellen Dietz of Batesville and Donna Schutte of Oldenburg, Indiana; brothers Dan Ferkinhoff of Batesville and Marvin Ferkinhoff of Brookville, Indiana; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation is Saturday, March 24th, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Louis Church in Batesville, with Rev. Stephen Akange officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military graveside rites being conducted by the Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183 and by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271. The family requests memorials to the Knights of Columbus or to the American Legion.
