Cora Jane was a homemaker who enjoyed many interests and hobbies. She was an avid flower gardener. Her daughter can still picture the long, beautiful row of iris by the house while she was growing up. Her cooking talents carried over to baking as well and Roberta fondly recalls the German Chocolate cake mom would make for her each birthday. Quiet times were spent quilting or reading, with mysteries being her favorite. Her favorite T.V. program was the BBC comedy “As Time Goes By” and she also liked watching westerns, Ohio State, Notre Dame and West Virginia football as well as Cincinnati Reds Baseball. In their earlier years Cora Jane and Robert loved to go dancing. In later years they were able to travel quite a bit, with trips to Ireland and Germany among their favorites.Cora Jane is survived by her husband Robert; daughter Roberta Fischesser of Milan, Indiana and brother Carol Loebig of Mobile, Alabama.
