Daniel R. Tekulve, age 71 of Oldenburg, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his home. Born March 30, 1946 in Batesville, he is the son of Clara (Nee: Holtel) and Arnold Tekulve. He married Cheryl Lamppert September 8, 1973 at Holy Read Obituary
My deepest condolences during this difficult time of life change. I smile knowing that Dan is happy and content in his new life with his father and creator, He will be missed dearly. My fondest memory of him was the 1st Christmas spent together singing Christmas carols merrily. Much love and many blessings.

I know this must be a very hard time for everyone, and I wanted to offer my prayers and condolences. I’m so sorry I can’t be there in Indiana to offer my support and celebrate Uncle Dan’s life with you. Uncle Dan was such a special person! He did so many great things and had so much love to share with his family and friends. He always looked so happy as he spent time with everyone at the Lake House—especially watching the grandkids having fun and playing, or leading us all in Christmas carols! He was such a leader in the family, and he’ll be so missed. I know that God will joyfully welcome Uncle Dan home with open arms. Praying for the family at this time of loss. Wish I had worked more with Dan at Wood-Mizer. He was extremely gifted and talented as a designer and had such a great mechanical mind. Wood-Mizer owes him a great deal of gratitude for his work on so many projects, and his great desire to help others in missions work.

I suspect that people wished they were as clever as Dan however it comes with a huge amount of responsibility! We will miss him at Oldenburg's Freudenfest.
Dan lived his faith and love on a daily basis, and in doing so left a heart-warming and wonderful legacy for all those whose lives he touched, to be shared here on earth. We celebrate in his joy of being welcomed Home to God's Kingdom, and hold dearly to many memories of his sense of humor, kindness, love of family, and strength of Faith in any situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Tekulve and Lamppert families. Rest peacefully, Dan, in the arms of our Lord.

We truly know Mary is holding your hand as you enter eternal joy with Our Lord. There are so many memories centered on faith and family. You were and remain a model Dan, and I'll never forget the riotous "family reunions" and cookouts with all of us cousins. Going to Aunt Clara's and Uncle Arnie's for a family gathering is a warm and cherished memory. As an adult I began to marvel "wow, how did they do it???" with all of us kids running around! The last time we saw each other on earth was at the course and restaurant - my dad and I wanted to go "one more time" just to say hello to family. In addition to seeing you, we ran into other family members there too. Even miles away, and many years since face-to-face contact, we love you Dan. God bless you, and please pray for us all.
