We were so very blessed to be welcomed with open arms and heart by Uncle Dan (and the rest of the family, also) when my brother Will married Kate Weigel. I first met Dan many years ago in Brookville when he began his appraisal career. As a fellow (and much older) appraiser, we shared appraisal information and would try to meet at least once a year at Ainsley's on Brookville Lake for lunch and to talk about our love for Indiana University. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and friends of Dan. He will be missed by many, which is a great tribute to such a great guy. Share the memories together to help you get through the tough times. My heart breaks, but, but remembering different occasions and seeing his smile helps to heal the hurt. Knowing he lived life to the fullest and enjoyed each day with a smile on his face will hopefully give you comfort, RIP Dan...Thanks for all the memories.
We met Dan, and his driver Mike, at a beach bar close to LA for the College Cup in 2004. That was the beginning of their initiation into our soccer family. We have been all over the nation together to root for our Hoosiers.
We hurt for the Weigel family. And, we hurt for ourselves. We’ll forever miss his smiling face.

I always loved our rides in the country! Dan would always laugh at me because I never knew where we were! I will miss his texts to me. He never forgot my birthday and always sent me pictures at Thanksgiving from the beach in Florida. I will miss him so much. He was always a very special friend 🧡
