Darwin Nobbe's Obituary
Darwin Nobbe, age 56 of Batesville, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born March 14, 1954 in Batesville, he is the son of Juanita (Nee: Dickman) and Lawrence Nobbe. He married Beatrice "Bea" Schath June 28, 1975 in Batesville. Darwin owned and operated Nobbe Lawn Mowing Service and was a member of St. Mary's of the Rock Church, Knights of Columbus Council #1461 and the Tri-Township Conservation Club in Oldenburg.Darwin's family stated that he "loved the outdoors". He could often be found shooting trap at the Oldenburg Conservation Club, hunting, fishing, out riding around on his four-wheeler or just being outside cutting the grass. His true passion though was spending time with his family, especially his four grandkids.He is survived by his wife Bea; daughter and son-in-law Brandi and Chad Hinen of Fishers, Indiana; son Dustin Nobbe of Batesville; mother Juanita Nobbe of Oldenburg; sisters Camille Wahman of Batesville, Michelle Jansing of Brookville, Indiana, Melanie Stahley of Oldenburg; brother Duane Nobbe of Batesville; grandchildren Justin and Jacob Nobbe, Allison and Mary Hinen. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Darin Nobbe.Visitation is Monday, March 14th, from 4 - 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services are Tuesday, March 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg, with Rev. David Kobak, O.F.M. officiating. The burial will follow at St. Mary's of the Rock Cemetery in St. Mary's, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Ruth Lyons Christmas Fund.
