Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the friends and loved ones of Don . He was my poker buddy , my friend and most of all MY GENTLE GIANT . Jan
Don was a close friend in high school and we both experienced tragic automobile accidents. I was lucky to recover with only permanent leg damage. I visited with Don on occasion while visiting my sister Debbie while she was at Waters. Don was always upbeat, except hen it came o nursing home food. He was a smart & enjoyed life despite of his life after his accident. He will be missed as ever ones friend.
Uncle Donnie,You will be sadly missed by all. What wonderful memories I have of being with you years ago. You will always have a special place in my heart. RIP
RIP Uncle Donny, you will be missed...
Thank you, Don, for your friendship and for being such an inspiration to me and your other friends in the poker games. There will always be a special place for you in my heart. I will always be grateful that our paths crossed because, otherwise, I would have not had the honor of having you as a friend. I admired your spirit and the humor you shared each day, and now, I will keep your memory alive by remembering the fun times we had. My sympathy to all of your loving family. I know how special they were to you! Rest in peace, Mr. D. Your poker friend, Granny Fine (Fran)
So very sorry to hear Donnie has left us. He was a brave soul that is for sure. We would stop to see him a couple times a year and bring him a dinner from Wagners. He seemed to like that and made us feel like we could do something to make him happy. He always was so up beat with all his troubles and don't know how he did it. He will be missed. Went to school with Donnie from grade school through high school.Audrey and Jack Elliott (Audrey Wallpe)
