Donna Betsy Steele's Obituary
Donna Betsy (nee Davis) Steele, age 78, of Batesville, Indiana, passed away at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born November 9, 1947, in Yarmouth, Maine, she is the only child of Richard E. and Elizabeth (nee Beckvald) Davis. She was married to Michael Steele on December 10th, 1968, at Old North Church in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
Donna was a woman of the outdoors growing up in the New England region she was a fan of gardening, animals, and anything by the water. She was especially fond of trips to the ocean and enjoying the wildlife. She volunteered with Mike at a wildlife center and hosted a bear cub for two years during their time in service. She loved her family and was a beacon of light for all those who knew her.
Donna is survived by her husband Michael Steele of Batesville; daughter Sara (Justin) Mosher of Sunman, IN; grandchildren Baron, Annaliese, and Gabriel Mosher. She was predeceased in death by her parents and son Richard “Ricky” Steele.
The family has chosen to have private services at a time of their choosing. Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
