Donna J. Stenger's Obituary
Donna J. Stenger, age 67 of Hamburg, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at The Waters of Batesville. Born May 27, 1947 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Ella Rose (Nee: Kraus) and Eugene Stenger. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anne's Church.
Donnas' passion was without a doubt cooking and baking. She delighted seeing family and friends devour what she made. The family was especially fond of her peach cobbler and "Donnas' cookies" as they were called. Didn't matter what kind they were, because they were all GOOD! She was fixture in St. Anne's kitchen helping prepare food for funeral lunches and church dinners. Donna liked to watch the Property Brothers, Food Network and the Big Bang Series as she called it. Golf and NASCAR were also favorites and counted herself among the masses of the Jr. Nation fan base.
She is survived by her mother Ella Rose of Hamburg; sisters Nancy (Albert) Phillips of Greensburg, Sandy (Mick) Starost of Hamburg; brothers Rod Stenger of Greensburg, Gary (Sandy) Stenger of Sunman, Steve (Carol) Stenger of Hamburg and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by nephew Andy Stenger.
Visitation is Thursday, March 19th, from 9 - 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at Noon at Holy Family Church with Rev. David Kobak O.F.M. officiating and burial at St. Anne's Cemetery in Hamburg. The family requests memorials to Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
