Edna A. Laker's Obituary
Edna A. Laker, age 87 of St. Mary’s, Indiana, died Saturday, January 12, 2008, at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Born July 2, 1920 in Franklin County Indiana, she is the daughter of Anna (Nee: Schrank) and John Amberger. She married Walter Laker October 19, 1940, at St. Mary’s of the Rock Church in St. Mary’s.Edna was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s of the Rock Church. She is survived by daughters Barbara Glaub, Bernice Laker; sons Jerome and Leroy, all of St. Mary’s; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by grandson Mark Glaub; sisters Regina Laker, Viola Kremm, Clarissa Staley and brothers Leo and Raymond Amberger.Visitation is Tuesday, January 15th, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 4 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 16th, at St. Mary’s of the Rock Church with Rev. David Kohut O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Building Fund or the Eagle Fire Company.
