I knew Col Lindemann (not Rick. He was a couple ranks senior to me) at HQ MAC in the early 90s. There was a certain kinship since we grew up about 50 miles from each other. He was a good person and a good boss. Even after 30 years I still remember him and smile. He will be missed.

Vickie and I were saddened to hear that our old friend, Rick had passed. We
became friends many years ago when we lived Bastesville. We shared many good times with Rick and Sandy and those times are not forgotten—Special meals, traveling, Church, and “hanging out’. Rick always researched many activities that we would engage in which generated a lot of lively discussion. We discussed everything from the best martini (his are still the best) to fishing for walleye to grilling a steak or how to best light a cigar. Those were wonderful days celebrated with a real gentleman. Together, Sandy and Rick were always a pleasure be around and we considered them good friends. As time moved on, a move put distance between us and we all began to move a bit slower. We cherish the memories of our time with Rick and Sandy. Rick will be missed and our sincerest sympathy goes out to Sandy and Rick’s family. Farewell my friend.
