Esther M. Crusemeyer's Obituary
Esther M. Crusemeyer, age 88 of Batesville, Indiana, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at the home of her daughter in Culpeper, Virginia. Born January 19, 1918 in Oldenburg, Indiana, she is the daughter of Ursula (Nee: Springman) and George P. Obermeyer. She married Raymond Crusemeyer on June 10, 1941 at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1979.Esther was a Retail Clothing Store Clerk at Telles Ready to Wear, Village Forecaster and Nobby Clothes in Batesville, before retiring. She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church and its Ladies Society, Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary and the Batesville Historical Society.She is survived by her daughters Lawrence (Karen) Becker of Indianapolis, Indiana and Lawrence (Teresa) Giesting of Culpeper, Virginia; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Raymond and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Crusemeyer and brothers Francis, Charles and James Obermeyer.Visitation is Sunday, November 26th, from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home, with a rosary service at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 27th at St. Louis Church in Batesville, with Rev. Dennis Duvelius officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family request memorials to the Daniel Garcia Medical Fund in c/o Precious Blood Catholic Church in Culpeper, Virginia.
