Ethel E. Bessler's Obituary
Ethel E. Bessler, age 83 of Batesville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at her residence. Born June 16, 1923, in Dearborn Co. Indiana, she is the daughter of Louise (Nee: Boerschler) and Frank Schneider. She married Alois Bessler on August 11, 1945, at St. Peter’s Church in near Sunman, Indiana. He preceded her in death June 11, 1977.Ethel worked at the Fernald Power Plant in Ohio during her earlier years, but spent much of her working life at Batesville Casket Company as a quality control tester. She was a member of St. Louis Church and the St. Louis Ladies Society. She also loved to garden and was especially proud of her tomato plants.She is survived by her sister Anna Louis Holtel of Oldenburg, Indiana; brother Edward Schneider of Look Out, Indiana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by brothers Robert, Raymond and Stanley.Visitation is Saturday, June 16th, from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 11:30 a.m., at St. Louis Church with the Rev. Stephen Akange officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials be made as masses in memory of Ethel.
