Eugene H. Fullenkamp's Obituary
Eugene H. “Geno” Fullenkamp, age 80 of Batesville, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at his residence. Born September 13, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio, he is the son of Olivia (Nee: Westgerdes) and Lawrence Fullenkamp. He married Viola Vierling October 14, 1946, at St. Joseph Church in Covington, Kentucky.Geno served in the Navy during World War II and then worked as a design engineer at the Hill-Rom Company for 47 years, retiring in December of 1993. He was a member of Cricket Ridge Golf Course and St. Louis Church, where he served as chairman of the St. Louis Festival for 33 years. He also was a past president of the Batesville Little League. He is survived by his wife Viola; daughters Mrs. Edward (Pam) Gerdowsky of Batesville, Mrs. John (Rebecca) Quick III of Batesville, Mrs. Gene (Kathy) Rosemeyer of Sunman, Indiana; sons Terrance (Terry) of Sacramento, California, Randy of Oldenburg, Indiana, Tim of Batesville, Jay of Sunman, David of Batesville; sister Mary Ann Moeller of Oldenburg; brothers Paul of Batesville, Kenneth of Shelbyville, Indiana, Edward of Oldenburg, Larry of Oldenburg; 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sister Beatrice Ferringer; brothers Albert, Norbert and Victor; one granddaughter and one great grandson.Visitation is Friday, October 6th, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, October 7th, at St. Louis Church, with Rev. Dennis Duvelius officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and Batesville V.F.W. Post #3183. The family requests memorials to St. Louis School or Batesville E.M.S. 10.
