Evelyn G. Moorman's Obituary
Evelyn G. Moorman, age 87 of Batesville, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Decatur County Hospital in Greensburg. Born September 13, 1925 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Catherine (Nee: Mann) and Harry Davis. She married Justin “Junky” Moorman June 2, 1945 at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority for over 50 years. She was very active and donated much of her time to the sorority helping to raise money for cancer research. Other interests included crafting and her beloved Yorkies. Her greatest joy was being able to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by daughters Cindy Heidt of Versailles, Indiana, Steffanie Moorman of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania; sons David of Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania, Jeff of Batesville; sister Harriet Wilson of Plymouth, Indiana; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Janzaruck, Waneta Haessig, Betty Schuck and granddaugter Holli Moorman.Visitation is Thursday, April 25th, from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. David Kobak O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. The family requests memorials Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
