Gene Faulkner's Obituary
Gene Faulkner, age 68 of Batesville, died Friday, February 29, 2008, at his residence. Born April 16, 1939 in London, Kentucky, he is the son of Christine (Nee: Tincher) and Wesley Faulkner. Gene was maintenance supervisor at Indiana Lakes NACO Wilderness Preserve before retiring. He was a skilled carpenter which led to one of his hobbies of building popsicle houses. He also enjoyed fishing and western movies, especially John Wayne films.He is survived by daughters Tammy Hullemeyer of Batesville, Peggy Faulkner of Osgood, Indiana, Tonja Mullins of Metamora, Indiana, Jeneen Deal of Batesville; son Jeffrey Campbell of Batesville; sisters Reba Craig of Delaware, Indiana, Kathy Sparks of Brookville, Indiana, Patty Jo Roark of Holton, Indiana; brothers Cecil and Leon Faulkner, both of Scottsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his former wife Jeraldyne Faulkner and brother Larry Faulkner.Visitation is Tuesday, March 4th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Rob Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Cupps Chapel Cemetery near Metamora. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association.
