Kay, You may not remember me as it has been a bit since we spoke. I worked with "Herbie" for a short bit at CSHC and got to know Harry later when we became HSDC. What a wonderful and fun man... certainly he talked about his family and farm and always ready to share some ripe tomatoes in the summer. Kay- I am so sorry to hear of Harry's passing. He was a great guy and I'm sure a great husband and father. You and Harry are in my prayers. I will not be able to make it to Batesville tonight or tomorrow. I will be on a 5 day trip and I am simply unable to make it down. I wish I could be there. Love, Si Binder
Lost the best friend that I ever had. First met Harry will we were attending St. Dominic School. I tutored him in Math. Not his best subject. Many many nights in the summer time we would play board games in my kitchen. My mom had to shut us down. We remained close friends all through grade school & high school. Though college & family matters stretched our companionship, we never lost contact with each other. I can not think of any person who would have a bad word to say about Harry after meeting him. He shall be missed, here on Earth; yet shall be a solid intercessor in Heaven for those who ask for his help. Love 'ya, friend, & shall miss you.
My friends and I hung around with Harry& his friends at Elder High School and we remember Harry making us laugh!!! We all have good memories and fun times in our High School days. We all went to Seton which was right next to Elder, He was a great guy, and I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband was Frank Umberg he graduated with Harry, he passed away in 1998.
