Howard J. Rohman's Obituary
Howard J. Rohman, age 89 of Oldenburg, Indiana and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio and Clearwater, Florida, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born March 21, 1918, he is the son of Maura (Nee: McCoy) and Albert Rohman.He married Patricia O'Neill August 31, 1940 at St. James Church in Wyoming, Ohio. Howard was a home builder and contractor in the Cincinnati area for 50 years and another 10 years in the Clearwater area after moving to Florida. He was a Red Cross Volunteer and an amateur painter. He also enjoyed reading, fishing, working jigsaw puzzles and after moving to Florida, enjoyed attending horse racing and dog racing.He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Sr. Donna Rohman O.S.F. of Oldenburg, Dianne and Gene Gregory of Germantown, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-laws Joseph and Eda Rohman of Cincinnati, James and Midgie Rohman of Columbus, Ohio, Jeffrey and Cathy Rohman of Olympia, Washington, Frederick and Arleen Rohman of Loveland, Ohio, David and Leona Rohman of Hamilton, Ohio, Donald and Marty Rohman of Covington, Kentucky; brother Carl of Venice, Florida; 18 grandchildren and daughter-in-law Sandy Rohman. In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by son Daniel; brothers Richard and Arthur and sisters Maura Holt and Flavia Hilling.There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 9th, at the Srs. of St. Francis Immaculate Conception Chapel in Oldenburg. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
