Irma M. Kaiser's Obituary
Irma Margaret Kaiser, age 90 of Oldenburg, died December 8, 2015 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born July 8, 1925 in Dover, Indiana, she is the daughter of Freda (Nee: Andwan) and Frank Hiltz. She married Luke Kaiser August 20, 1949 at St. John the Baptist Church in Dover, Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2006.
Irma was a member of Holy Family Church. She was the bookkeeper for the family business, Kaiser Trucking. She also served as a tutor for Oldenburg Elementary School and worked in the convent bakery for the Srs. of St. Frances. Irma loved time with family and friends. Irma was a great cook and baker and she and Luke enjoyed their retirement travels.
Irma is survived by her daughter Beverly (Ken) Joyce of Brownsburg, Indiana; sons Steve (Pat), Mark (Cathy) and Mike all of Oldenburg, son-in-law Jim Hartman, Dover; sister Margie Arthur of Aurora, Indiana; eight grandchildren Luke Kaiser, Jared Kaiser, Nicholas Kaiser, Jonathan Hartman, Kate Kaiser, Nicole Wilkerson, Rachel Kaiser and Dylan Schultz and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by daughter Belinda Hartman; sister Thelma Zimmer and brothers Howard Hiltz and Wilfred Hiltz. Visitation is Friday, December 11th, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, December 12th at Holy Family Church with Rev. David Kobak O.F.M. officiating followed by burial in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Holy Family Capital Improvement Fund or Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
