James Schoettelkotte, age 57 of Davie, Florida, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at Vitas Healthcare in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Born August 18, 1950 in Batesville, Indiana, he is the son of Ada (Nee: Baechle) and Raymond Schoettelkotte, Sr. He married Sandra Murtaugh on May 13, 1972 at St. Paul Catholic Church in New Alsace, Indiana.Jim was in retail management most of his life. He has been a resident of South Florida since 1979, coming from Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Sandra; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Marjan Schoettelkotte of Ft. Myers, Florida; sisters Betty (John) Hartman, Margie (Ronald) Harmeyer, both of Batesville, Jean (Frank Thompson) Leising of Hamburg, Indiana; grandchildren Hanna and Alexa Schoettelkotte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Schoettelkotte, Jr.Visitation is Wednesday, October 17th, from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
