Natalie Hoefer
My name is Natalie Hoefer. As writers for The Criterion, my co-workers and I proofread every page of the paper before it goes to the printer. I noticed what I thought might be a misspelled last name in Jane's obituary, so I came to this page to confirm the spelling of the name. While doing so, I took the time to read her full obituary. I just had to post on this tribute page how touched I am by her obvious deep and lifelong faith, even in the midst of struggle in her last five years. So many inspiring, faith-filled lives like hers unfold quietly, known only to those in direct contact. Reading Jane's obituary, I wish I could have known her and shined a light on how she lived the life we're all called to live: going about our Christian call to love and serve, shining God's light in others' lives and doing so quietly in the daily living of life. Your family seems to have had a beautiful witness in your wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. May she be joyfully reveling in the loving embrace of the Father to whom she devoted her life.
