Jane S. Schuler's Obituary
Jane S. Schuler, age 64 of Napoleon died Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Waters of Batesville. Born April 26, 1949 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Frances (Nee: Vogelsang) and Paul Robinson. She married Robert Schuler July 14, 1990 at St. Maurice Church in Napoleon. A member of St. Maurice’s Church, her faith was important to her. She was active with the National Right to Life, which she believed in strongly and started each morning praying the rosary. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved being with her grandchildren. A women with many interests, her favorite hobby was going to yard sales which apparently was an every weekend event with her sister. She enjoyed flower gardening and watching her birds, especially the cardinals, working crossword puzzles, word searches and was an avid reader. According to her family, she liked watching scary movies but hated Leprechauns and anything associated with them. Her family was also quick to point out they survived her cooking, mentioning something about her gravy and wallpaper paste although her saving grace was her potato salad.Jane is survived by her husband Bob, daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Vince Young of Batesville; sons and daughter-in-laws Daniel and Misty Palmer of Columbus, Indiana, Roger and Shannon Palmer of Osgood, Indiana; sister and brother-in-law Pam and Bob Maloney of Greensburg, Indiana; brother Samuel Robinson of Sunman, Indiana; grandchildren Melinda, Megan, Makayla, Bradley, Kayden, Vianna, Nevaeh, Lana and great grandchildren Maddison and Bryson. She is preceded in death by her parents.There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 26th, at St. Maurice Church with Rev. John Geis officiating. A luncheon will follow the funeral and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Pius Cemetery near Milan. The family requests memorials to the National Right to Life Organization or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
