Jean T. Goodwin's Obituary
Jean T. Goodwin, age 75 of Batesville, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at her residence. Born January 11, 1933 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Elizabeth (Nee: Schroeder) and Joseph Zimmerman Sr. She married Richard Goodwin September 10, 1955, at St. Louis Church.Jean was a homemaker and also the bookkeeper for Straber Oil Company for years. She had many hobbies and among them was needlework. She truly enjoyed sewing, making quilts and crocheting. She also liked interior decorating, flowers and bingo. Jean was a member of St. Louis Church and the St. Louis Ladies Society.She is survived by her husband Richard; daughters Lynn Robbin of New Palestine, Indiana, Elizabeth Lattire of Sunman, Indiana; sons Jeffrey of Harrison, Ohio, Gregory of Batesville, Thomas of Martinsville, Indiana, Robert of Batesville; sisters Louise Wells and Betty Reisinger, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rosemary Fisher of Batesville; brother Joseph Zimmerman Jr. of Batesville; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother Harry Zimmerman and grandson Matthew Goodwin.The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24th, at the funeral home. A memorial mass follows at 3 p.m. at St. Louis Church with Rev. Gregory Bramlage officiating and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to St. Nicholas School, the Autism Society of Indiana or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
