John R. Unger's Obituary
John R. Unger, age 61 of Batesville, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at his residence. Born September 14, 1946 in Middletown, New York, his is the son of Natalie (Nee: Brown) and John J. Unger. He married Beverly Bedel July 4, 1980 in Springville, Indiana.John was a trim carpentar for Effing and Norton Construction. He is survived by his wife Bev, daughter Megan Benson of Cookeville, Tennessee; sons Josh Unger of Batesville, John Unger of Florida, Bruce Unger of Baxter, Tennessee, Scott Scheels of Middletown, New York; mother Natalie of Middletown, New York; sisters Paulette Arthurs of Metuchen, New Jersey, Patricia Nye of Middletown, New York; brother Pete Unger of Woodbourne, New York and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father.Visitation is Friday, February 1st, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, February 2nd, from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Pete Flynn and Rev. David Kobak officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday night. Memorials may be made to the Batesville Youth Football and Baseball Program or Hospice of Margaret Mary Hospital.
