And Bernice.............we plan on keeping you busy!

A VERY good buddy of mine passed away a couple nights ago,
Joe Lambert.
He was SUCH a great man, a kind man, a giving man, a helping man. A man, like my father, I took great inspiration from. He was such a treat to be around. He would come to my shop just to shoot the breeze, or help me with a project or have me help him with a project. It was always a pleasure.
He also really loved my dog, Roo, and Roo would ALWAYS be so excited to see him. I think Roo also knew Joe was "all that and a bag of chips". Joe one day kicked the ball so much for him, his leg turned black and blue!! He had to come by the next day, laughing about it, and dropped his laundry to show me! :) What a peach of a guy.
One of my favorite mental images will always be him and Bob Schaefer (another man I will always think the world of) coming over in their "go-devil" (golf cart) with their canes. That pair could beat any 3 of a kind. :) I wish I would have taken a picture of them but, I will always have the memory. I hope those two old farts are cruising heaven in a tricked out golf cart, Joe with his Harley vest on and be sure and pick up Dad along the way. That would be a 3-way from heaven that couldn't be beat.
MY deepest sympathies to his family. I knew Joe well, so I know what you are missing. It hurts so bad but, he had a great life and a great family. You just can't ask for more.
He won.
My heartfelt sympathy to Bernice and family at this sad gathering time. Only met Joe once...but he was cranking jokes at the time at the gathering at St. Louis Church years ago. Live out of town now...but the memory lives on.
