Josephine C. Wissel's Obituary
Josephine C. Wissel, age 97 of Batesville, Indiana died Friday, August 8, 2008, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg, Indiana. Born December 24, 1910, in Decatur County Indiana, she is the daughter of Veronica (Nee: Walke) and Joseph Suding. She married Raymond Wissel September 16, 1929 at St. Louis Church in Batesville. He preceded her in death April 9, 1981.Josephine was a homemaker and a member of St. Louis Church. She is survived by her daughter Mary Jane Rudolf of Batesville; son Arnold Wissel of West Port, Indiana; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by daughters Dolores Schuler, Clara John Hankins; brothers Hank, Joe and Ed Suding and sisters Marie Benton, Ann Bueke and Tillie Starkey.Visitation is Tuesday, August 12th, from 10-11:30 a.m. at St. Louis Church. Funeral services follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Duvelius officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
