Karen A. Weisenbach's Obituary
Karen A. Weisenbach, age 65 of Batesville, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. Born June 29, 1947 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Johanna (Nee: Moeller) and Paul Weisenbach. She was a member of St. Louis Church. According to her family, Karen absolutely loved cats and birds. She liked country music, adored Tom Jones, liked watching the Reds and would stay up late to watch Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show. Karen also had quite a green thumb and enjoyed working in her flower beds as well as tending to her African Violets indoors. They also mentioned her love of food and that she couldn’t resist pizza and popcorn……….and was apparently a pretty fair baker who made the most deliciously moist brownies. The family all remembers her boisterous laugh that was infectious and nothing made her happier than being together with family to share old stories. Many times laughing so hard they’d cry. She is survived by her sister Susan Kerker of Oldenburg; brothers Mike and Scott Weisenbach, both of Batesville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation is Tuesday, June 18th, from 9 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Louis Church with Rev. Randy Summers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
