Kathleen L. Campbell's Obituary
Kathleen L. Campbell, age 87 of Batesville, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born December 28, 1925 in Covington, Kentucky, she is the daughter of Louise (Nee: Lueking) and Thomas Hall. She married Ronald Campbell September 10, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #530.Kathleen and Ron were able to travel quite a bit over the years. Her love of nature, the outdoors and birds naturally made a trip to Coos Bay in Oregon one of her favorites. They wintered in Florida for 25 years, lived on the boat and loved sailing. Her family indicted what a great cook she was, especially German dishes. Other hobbies she enjoyed included playing Canasta and reading novels.She is survived by her husband Ronald; daughters and son-in-laws Lynda and Robert Keene of Luray, Virginia, Rhonda and Dale Back of Sunman, Indiana, Jennifer and Daniel Dickey of Batesville; son and daughter-in-laws Dennis and Terri Campbell of Beaver, Oregon, Bruce and Sumin Campbell of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; grandchildren Thomas, Jonathon, Zachary, Justin, Damon, Nathan, Jason, Emma, Jamie and great grandchildren Devin, Jared, Nicky, Ali, Noah, Nolan, Nash, Braidyn and Landon. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Laitala and brothers Thomas, Harry (Doc) and James Hall. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 4th, from 10 - 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Calling will end with a brief prayer service at 11:30 a.m. The family requests memorials to Arbor Grove Village for Auguste’s Cottage, 1021 East Central Avenue, Greensburg, Indiana, 47240.
