Kenneth B. Fields' Obituary
Kenneth B. Fields, age 72 of Oldenburg, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his residence. Born April 20, 1939 in Franklin County Indiana, he is the son of Mary (Nee: Paul) and Frank Fields. He was a printing press operator at McPherson’s for 35 years before retiring in 2001 and a member of Holy Family Church.Kenny loved being outdoors. An avid fisherman and mushroom hunter, he also enjoyed spending time with his mom working in her garden. He was a huge fan of the T.V. show NCIS and every Tuesday, regardless of what he was doing, Kenny made sure he was home by 8 p.m. for that week’s episode. Other interests included spending time with his Godchildren and reading books from his favorite author, Stephen King. A cold beer now and then was a good thing too. He is survived by his mother Mary Stahley of Sunman; brother Steve Stahley of Oldenburg and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8th, from 9-11 a.m. at the Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. Funeral services follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Kobak O.F.M. officiating and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to Holy Family Church.
