Miss Kennel was my second grade teacher. She was a wonderful lady. I still have good memories of making my First Communion. She touched a large number of students and helped them to get to know Jesus.
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOSE OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBER SHE WAS OUR DAUGHTER TEACHER AND WE LOVE HER A LOT AND SHE WELL BE MISS YOU ARE ALL IN ARE THOUGHT AND PRAYER
My condolences to Lil Kennel's family. My second grade class was Lil's second year she taught at St. Louis. She prepared us to receive our First Holy Communion, as she continued preparing Second graders at St. Louis School for over forty more years! In the last few years, I would see Lil at the Adoration Chapel at St. Louis Church, she would always ask me about my teaching experience. Lil Kennel prepared hundreds of young children over the years in the Catholic faith formation, she has been a blessing for the St. Louis Catholic Community.
I have fond memories of Lil. She was an amazing teacher. A genuine, kind and caring person. Her faith inspired so many. She will be missed, but her legacy lives on in so many of us that had the pleasure to call her "teacher".
It is hard to find the words to express the sorrow I feel at the passing of Ms. Kennel. She was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person. She made our community a better place.
Lil and I became friends in 1957 when we roomed together at the Fontbonne in Cincinnati, Ohio. We had so much fun and the nuns who ran the facility usually looked the other way when the 2 of us would bend the rules a bit. Have so many good memories and I will always remember her great laugh. I talked to her a few days before she died and she was so upbeat and said she was feeling good. So glad I had that last conversation with her and was planning to visit soon. Rest in peace my friend.

Lil was always a great friend of our family and was very supportive. We will miss her greatly. Our thoughts and prayers to her family at their loss.
Our sincere condolences to the Kennel family, especially to her sister, Rosemary Ball. She lived a life of encouragement and service to others. Not many can say that. We are truly sorry for your loss.
