This woman was very special! I always looked forward to visiting Grandma and Grandpa Kinker and "Pete", there was always plenty to do on the farm, the old homestead. Many times we'd gather with all of the Aunts and Uncles and cousins and have a big meal and us kids would be running around and sometimes get into mischief. If Pete caught us she would give us a tongue lashing and tell us we ought not to be doing that. Yes she had a physical handicap, but she didn't let that stop her from doing anything. She was a hard worker and helped to take care of things around the house. Nothing stopped her! While all of us kids sometimes gave her a hard time, we all truly loved her warm heart and kind soul and she made us all feel right at home when we were around her. While distance separated us over the years I had the privilege of spending some quality time with her a couple of years ago along with my mother Julia, her sister, and Uncle Omer, both who are no longer with us. We sure had great time, it was full of laughter. It is a fond memory I will forever cherish but my belief is that I will see this wonderful woman once again when this earth is transformed into a beautiful paradise with no more sickness, old age or death! All things will be made new and we will no longer mourn for our loved ones. I look forward to that day when she awakens from death and sees this beautiful earth just as God meant for it to be, a beautiful paradise earth where righteousness will dwell. Love you "Pete", you will be missed!
