Marcia B. Belter's Obituary
Marcia B. Belter, age 83 of Batesville, Indiana, died Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born January 26, 1924 in Oldenburg, Indiana, she is the daughter of Josephine (Nee: Leising) and Anthony Siefert. She married Elmer Belter on July 30, 1946 at St. Louis Church in Batesville and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1994.Marcia was a homemaker and was a member of the St. Louis Church and its Ladies Society. Marcia is survived by her daughters Mari Beth Wagner of Batesville; Lili Wietlisbach of Batesville; sons Paul Belter of Sunman, Indiana; Mark Belter of Greensburg, Indiana; Jude Belter of Batesville; sister Dorothy Harmeyer of Batesville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband Elmer and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Joan Fritsch and Arvilla Prickel; brothers Jerome “Jake” Siefert and John Siefert.Visitation is Sunday, February 4th, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home, with a rosary service at 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5th, at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Church, with Rev. Dennis Duvelius officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research or to Batesville E.M.S. 10.
