Margaret C. Kidwell's Obituary
Margaret C. Kidwell, age 75 of Cincinnati and formerly of Batesville, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Margaret Hall in Cincinnati. Born February 26, 1940 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Dorothy (Nee: Velten) and Harry Johnson. She worked as an X-ray technician for Good Samaritan Hospital and Supervisor of Staffing for Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati as well as managing the Dairy Queen in Batesville.
According to her family, Margie was a talker. She also was not afraid to offer advice and while not always solicited, it was usually pretty sound. Apparently she could be a little stubborn too. She was an excellent baker whose coffee cakes and cookies will be missed. They also indicated she could whip up some pretty tasty casseroles. Margie enjoyed the T.V. program Game of Thrones and a good glass of wine was a must. An avid card player, she favored marathon games of Euchre, Bridge and Hand and Foot with her family. For Margie, family was important. She treasured time with her siblings, children and loved doting on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Stacey Kidwell of Cincinnati; son Jack Kidwell of Austin, Texas; sister Carol Firsich of Greensburg; brothers Tony and Tom Johnson, both of Batesville and grandchildren Harry, Epiphany, George and Maggie Kidwell. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 14th, from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Louis Church with Rev. John Meyers officiating. Following services, Margie’s wishes were to be cremated. The family requests memorials to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242.
