Martha L. Bedel's Obituary
Martha L. Bedel, age 90 of Morris, Indiana, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at The Waters of Batesville. Born June 30, 1918 in Morris, Indiana, she is the daughter of Petronella (Nee: Doll) and George F. Siefert. She married Norbert Bedel October 16, 1948 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Morris and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1986.Martha was a Registered Nurse for Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville for 30 years, before retiring. She was a member of the Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3183 Ladies Auxiliary and the Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by her sister Alma Armstrong of Dayton, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Helen Bischoff, Erma Romweber, Roseanna Holtegel, Joan Tekulve and brothers Ralph, Dr. Paul and Richard Siefert.Calling will be Friday, May 15th, from 9-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. A memorial mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony's Church in Morris. Memorials may be made to Margaret Mary Hospital.
