Mary M. Abplanalp's Obituary
Mary M. Abplanalp, age 82 of Batesville, Indiana, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Hospitality Hall. Born January 3, 1925 in Metamora, Indiana, she is the daughter of Anna (Nee: Yohler) and Ernest Bunyard. She married Ferdinand Abplanalp on April 27, 1946 at St. Louis Church and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2005.Mary was an Assembler at the Federal Mogul Plant in Greensburg for 23 years, before retiring. She was a member of St. Louis Church, St. Louis Ladies Society and for 10 years was the top fund raiser for the March of Dimes WalkAmerica.She is survived by her daughters Sue Wissel of Batesville, Nancy Schuetz of Indianapolis, Indiana, Barbara Abplanalp Nolting of Greensburg, Indiana, Judy Luhring of Batesville; brother Joseph Bunyard of Connersville, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Rita Bedel, Louise Snyder, Ada Schebler, Ann Harmeyer and brothers’ Noah, Phillip, William, Luke and Mike Bunyard.Visitation is Sunday, July 29th, from 1 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Tribute at 3 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30th, at St. Louis Church in Batesville, with Rev. Gregory Bramlage officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, St. Nicholas School or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
