Mary H. Peters' Obituary
Mary H. Peters, age 85 of Batesville, died Saturday, July 15th, 2006, at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Born December 22, 1920, in Batesville, she is the daughter of Matilda (Nee: Benz) and Joseph Wintz Jr. She married Fred Peters in 1940 at Lafayette, Indiana and he preceded her in death March 18, 2003. Mary was the bookkeeper at Nobbe Motors for over 30 years before retiring and a member of St. Louis Church. She is survived by sister Lillian Wallpe and brother Robert Wintz, both of Batesville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Fred and her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister Margaret Moorman. Visitation is Tuesday, July 18th, from 9-10 a.m., at the Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral services follow at 10:30 a.m., at St. Louis Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the St. Louis Cemetery Fund.
