To the family,
I first met Helen and Ralph at the Hearthstone Restaurant in Metamora when they were helping out Eddie Alsman. He had a great recipe for pan fried chicken and he shared it with Ralph and Helen as they opened Wagner's Village Inn in Oldenburg. At the family gatherings it was always good fellowshipping with Cora & Benny Snoddy and their children and grandchildren. The women would sit in the house playing catch up on the status of their lives while the men would play cards in the garage. The grandkids would play in the yard and were glad that they had the opportunity to be there. Helen had a sweet , laid back personality and was genuine in her conversations with patrons, friends and family. May you feel the warmth of God's Spirit and the comfort of family and friends in the days ahead.
I never knew her personally, but I went to school with Cathy. She had to be a wonderful woman to have raised her children to be such great people. I know everyone loved Wagner's, the food and comradery. She will be missed. So sorry for the family. Sandra Trowbridge Raider.
