Nancy L. Bohman's Obituary
Nancy L. Bohman, age 69 of Indianapolis, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood, Indiana. Born May 16, 1945 in Kokomo, Indiana, she is the daughter of Marjorie (Nee: Kirk) and Raymond McCauley. She married James Bohman August 6, 1966 at St. John's Church in Enochsburg, Indiana. She worked 25 years as a manager for Cardinal Services and Heartland Services.
Nancy's husband said she worried about others and wanted to care for those who needed help. It was her nurturing instinct that led her to work with mentally challenged and those in group homes while at Cardinal and Heartland Services. She found it rewarding helping people better themselves, which in turn elevated their confidence and dignity. An avid reader, it wasn't so much mysteries or romance novels but usually materials related to psychology she preferred, which she used to help make her better at her job. Away from work Nancy and Jim enjoyed traveling. Several trips to the Bahamas' and a visit to Acapulco were among their favorites.
Nancy is survived by her husband Jim; daughter Michelle Hayes of Bloomington, Indiana; son John Bohman of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters Carol, Jeannie, Betsy, Susie; brothers Raymond (Bud), Tim, Patrick and two grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister Kathy.
Visitation is Friday, March 6th, from 9 - 11 a.m. at St. John's Church in Enochsburg. Funeral services follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Ehalt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to St. John's Church.
